IN MY MIND

Consciousness and loathing
Takes over my mind
I sit in the corner
Of a dark room
And gaze at the door
That spills in some light
As I sit there wondering
Several thoughts pass my mind
While I flip them like pages
Just to find
That there was one thought in particular
That used to make me smile
But now it tears me apart
And there is an anxiety building inside me
That I cannot fight
Now as i sit there
Conjuring up a fantasy in my mind
I forget,
That very thought had once again
Made me smile
